Vegetation Regeneration
- Inspect all temporarily disturbed areas where restoration activities have been applied during years 2025, 2026, 2029, 2034
Vegetation Management Surveys
- Occurs during bamijikewin along the Right of Way.
Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Monitoring
- Inspect and maintain appropriate erosion and sedimentation control measures until permanent erosion control is established, or restoration is complete.
Permanent Wildlife Survey Plots (PWSPs)
- Survey plot monitoring started in 2020 for some areas of the project. Plots will be monitored up to 10 years after construction.
- Determine the use of sites by caribou, prey and predators, effectiveness of beneficial actions and whether additional actions are required.
Bat Monitoring and Research
- Long-term monitoring will track bat use of hibernacula and artificial structures for at least ten years after construction.
