Wataynikaneyap Transmission Project Training Program

The Wataynikaneyap Transmission Project Training Program is a training to employment based program designed for those participants looking to gain direct or indirect employment in the construction of the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission Line and powerline industry.

Wataynikaneyap Power member communities have a Community Liaison who can visit with you to provide more information and is available to:

  • Promote local and regional training programs and opportunities.
  • Assist community members with the completion and submission of training applications.
  • Facilitate local training engagement and training delivery.
  • Support additional local upgrading training programs.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for the Wataynikaneyap Transmission Project Training Program.

For Line Crew Ground Support Training, please submit the (1) Application Form, (2) Participant Information Form, (3) Labour Pool Questionnaire and (4) Resume and Cover letter with references to your Community Liaison or the OSLP Training Program Manager,

For the sixth intake, this program is currently open to female applicants only. Other LCGS training is occurring in the region and everyone is welcome to apply.

For Ganawenjigewin Environmental Protection Training, please submit the (1) Application Form,  (2) Participant Information Form (3) Labour Pool Questionnaire and (4) Resume and Cover Letter with references to your Community Liaison or directly to the OSLP Training Program Manager,
